Windsong Midwifery, LLC "The Birth Place" Deb has been employed as a paramedic for 14 years by the Anchorage Fire Department and has instructed firefighters and medics alike in emergency childbirth and pediatric care. Her teaching has helped to ‘normalize’ the thinking of emergency responders in their anticipation of birth occurring outside of a hospital. She has taught numerous classes all over the state in all aspects of emergency medicine. Her vast knowledge and experience have made her invaluable to her colleagues and to the women she loves to serve.   Deb with Saige and Zach Chandler (and baby # 3) Deb has been serving Alaskan families for over 20 years. She has listened to women and their families and has helped to customize their birth experiences, focusing on the sanctity and the safety of birth. She is licensed by the State of Alaska as a Certified Direct-entry Midwives (CDM).
